Manzoor Ahmad

Dr Manzoor Ahmad is the Chief Executive of World Trade Advisors, a Senior Fellow at the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD), Geneva and as an arbitrator/panellist at the WTO disputes. Previously from 2002 to 2008, he served as Pakistan’s Ambassador to WTO, Geneva; from 2008 to 2010 as the Director, FAO Liaison Office Geneva and from 2013 to 2014 as the Regional Trade Advisor for Deloitte Consulting at Islamabad.

He began his career in the Pakistan Customs and Central Excise Service as an Assistant Collector in 1977.  From 1986 to 1996, he worked for the World Customs Organization (WCO) Brussels. In 2000, he became Member Customs at the Federal Board of Revenue, Islamabad.

Dr Manzoor is also serving in honorary advisory positions on several national and international think tanks. These include Institute for Policy Reforms (IPR) Lahore;Policy Research Institute for Market Economy (PRIME), Islamabad andEvian Group at IMD Lausanne.

He is a regular contributor for articles on trade policy and other policy reforms.
